2002 2.7crd grand cherokee wont change gear. « on: November 19, 2006, 13:45:30 ». Hi all, my Jeep has just stopped changing gear, it will go into reverse and forward gear but will not change upwards; max speed of 40mph. The fault light that looks like a gearbox has also come on. There is no dipstick to check the oil for some reason.

Shows 80w-90 for the rear axle with the exception of if equipped with two package trailer hitch or heavy duty use use 75-140 synthetic gear oil gl 5 . Add 4oz

Hi! I have a 2003 2.7 CRD Grand Cherokee and the Cruise Control has become intermittent during use it will suddenly stop working and when that happens even the green cruise light dissapears however if I stop turn it off and back on again it will work for a while before cutting out again.
There are free service manuals or at some places you have to pay a bit to download. The 2004 manual i have shows some wiring schematics for diesel as well, but the engine is not in there. WJ 2.7 CRD performance questions. Alright fellow Jeep lovers. First time poster here, and I'm not even from Australia I am a Madagascar resident and currently the happy owner of a 2003 GC 2.7 CRD. The forums have already been of tremendous help so far in my ownership, but I still have a couple of questions I was hoping you guys could help me
Simply pull out in a downward direction. Firmly push the new filter back into place until fully home. Now you can replace the oil pan. 2002 2.7 CRD Jeep Grand Cherokee. 205 BHP, 500 NM of torque, Bluespark Automotive Pro Tuning. I now measured the amount of oil which was dropped from the transmission.
This Model JEEP (CRD 2.7. 2003). Apparently had a RASH of PCM Failures! There was a Fellow Jeeper on this Board --- Who Recently Replaced a COUPLE of PCM's on his Jeep. I Think he had to sell his Jeep -- DUE to this Problem. Key OBD Code is: P1608. LOSS of Serial Communications AND an Internal PCM FAILURE.
this assumes 800 RPM is hot. most of these engines, do this. new. bewlow. 1: cold start, for 3 to 15sec, 2500 rpm , worse in alaska. 2: then the above DASH pot closes and IAC takes over, at ~1200. 3: then as engine heats the IAC closed inch by micro inch a. its now 100% closed and the ECU not controls idle hot.

Hi, Ive posted this on the Aussiejeepforum as they seem to have more 2.7 owners, I thought I would post here also just in case someone can help :0) UK WG owner here, 02, 2.7 CRD Limited. Ive got a bad leak behind my turbo so Ive been trying to get the turbo off to change the gasket / spring clamp.
3.1 TD OR 2.7 CRD - VM or Merc - UK/Eurpoean. In the UK we have a choice when looking for a Jeep, that is on the venerable WJ includes either the TD engine or the Merc CRD. I am considering get a WJ, I have run VM engine before, in the Cherokee and know the problems of separate heads, but I not a fan of the Merc engine.

Jeep wj no crank just a click. My 2.7 crd from 2002 won't start at all it only gives a single click at the dash. Yesterday when I tried it it looked like the battery was low because it took a few seconds of cranking but with no start. It gave a slightly different noise than normal when the battery is low.
